Materials:

  • 800 (900, 1025, 1150, 1250, 1475, 1700, 1925) yd 4/worsted-weight yarn
  • Size J-10 (6.0mm) crochet hook
  • Yarn needle

Gauge Square: Closed shells. Ch 22. Row 1. 4 dc in 4th ch from hook, skip 2 ch, sc in next ch, *skip 2 ch, 5 dc in next ch, skip 2 ch, sc in next ch; rep from * once. Row 2. Ch 3; turn. 2 dc in first sc, *sc in 3rd dc of first shell, 5 dc in next sc; rep from * once. 3 dc in t-ch. Row 3. Ch 1; turn. Sc in first dc, *5 dc in next sc, sc in 3rd dc of next shell; rep from * across, ending with a sc in t-ch. Rows 4-7. Rep rows 2 & 3. Row 8. Rep row 2. Finish off. 3 shells and 8 rows = 4 inches

Front

Worked from hip to neckline.

Ch 58 (64, 70, 76, 82, 88, 100, 112).

Row 1 (RS). 4 dc in 4th ch from hook, skip 2 ch, sc in next ch, *skip 2 ch, 5 dc in next ch, skip 2 ch, sc in next ch; rep from * across. 9 (10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19) shells.

Row 2 (WS). Ch 3; turn. 2 dc in first sc, *sc in 3rd dc of first shell, 5 dc in next sc; rep from * to last shell. 3 dc in t-ch.

Row 3. Ch 1; turn. Sc in first dc, *5 dc in next sc, sc in 3rd dc of next shell; rep from * across, ending with a sc in t-ch.

Rows 4-29 (4-31, 4-31, 4-33, 4-33, 4-35, 4-37, 4-39). Rep rows 2 & 3.

Row 30 (32, 32, 34, 34, 36, 38, 40). Turn. Sl st over first sc and 2 dc, ch 1, sc in next dc, *5 dc in next sc, sc in 3rd dc of next shell; rep from * across, leaving rem 2 dc and sc un-worked. 8 (9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18) shells.

Left Neckline Shaping

Row 32 (34, 34, 36, 36, 38, 40, 42). Ch 1; turn. Sc in first dc, *5 dc in next sc, sc in 3rd dc of next shell; rep from * across 1 (2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 5, 6) times. 3 dc in next sc; leave rem shells un-worked. 2 (3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 6, 7) whole shells and 1 half-shell.

Row 33 (35, 35, 37, 37, 39, 41, 43). Ch 1; turn. Sc in first dc, *5 dc in next sc, sc in 3rd dc of next shell; rep from * across, ending with 3 dc in last sc.

Rows 34-37 (36-39, 36-39, 38-41, 38-41, 40-43, 42-45, 44-47). Rep previous row.

Row 38 (40, 40, 42, 42, 44, 46, 48). Ch 1; turn. Sc in first dc, *5 dc in next sc, sc in 3rd dc of next shell; rep from * across. Leave rem st un-worked. 2 (3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 6, 7) whole shells.

Right Neckline Shaping

With WS facing, join yarn with sl st in 3rd (2nd, 3rd, 2nd, 3rd, 2nd, 2nd, 2nd) un-worked sc of row 32 (34, 34, 36, 36, 38, 40, 42).

Row 32 (34, 34, 36, 36, 38, 40, 42). Ch 3. 2 dc in same sc as joining, sc in 3rd dc of next shell, *5 dc in next sc, sc in 3rd dc of next shell; rep from * across. 2 (3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 6, 7) whole shells and 1 half-shell.

Row 33 (35, 35, 37, 37, 39, 41, 43).  Ch 3; turn. 2 dc in first sc, sc in 3rd dc of next shell, *5 dc in next sc, sc in 3rd dc of next shell; rep from * across.

Rows 34-37 (36-39, 36-39, 38-41, 38-41, 40-43, 42-45, 44-47). Rep previous row.

Assembly

Sew shoulders, then pin sleeves into the armholes. Sew in place. Sew Front and Back pieces together at sides, continuing the seam to sew the side edges of the sleeves together.
