Outdoor Cozies in Thermal Stitch

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Welcome to everyone who is joining me today from Crochetville‘s 2015 Designer Blog Tour! I’m so excited to be participating for the second year in a row. And if you haven’t heard of it, this blog tour a big event in the crochet world, with daily giveaways and two featured crochet designers each day, every day, for the entire month of March!

Crochetville is also honoring Halos of Hope as the blog tour’s charity project, and they’re hoping to spread the word to get as many hats donated to them as possible this month. In light of this, I’ve elected once again to feature a hat pattern for this event. I actually had this pattern planned before I was invited to do the tour again, but I decided it was just perfect for this event! But I took the pattern one step further this year and included matching neck warmers, ear warmers, and wrist warmers. Plus, they are all made in the super warm thermal crochet stitch.

I chose Cascade 220 Superwash Sport for this pattern because wool is famous for its warmth and water-repellent properties, and I wanted to use these accessories out in the snow. But if you’re going to be making this hat for Halos of Hope, I’d recommend substituting Cascade Cherub Aran, as it’s much softer against the sensitive skin of chemo patients.
