MC:  1 skein (95 yd) Lily® Sugar’n Cream® or 4/worsted weight yarn
CC:  Scrap yarn
Size F-5 (3.75 mm) crochet hook
2 15-mm amigurumi eyes
Polyester fiberfill or stuffing of choice
Yarn needle
Stitch markers

Optional:
Scrap felt
Felt glue

Note:  Unless otherwise indicated, pattern is worked continuously without joining or turning between rounds.  To help keep
track of your stitches, it may be helpful to place a stitch marker at the beginning of each round.


HEAD & BODY
Worked from top down.

With MC, ch 2.

Rnd 1.  6 sc in 2nd ch from hook.  6 sc.

Rnd 2.  2 sc in ea sc around.  12 sc.

Rnd 3.  1 sc in 1st sc, 2 sc in next sc, *1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around.  18 sc.

Rnd 4.  1 sc in 1st 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, *1 sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around.  24 sc.

Rnd 5.  1 sc in 1st 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, *1 sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * around.  30 sc.

Eyelashes:
Make a small snip in the center of each eyelash and thread post of eye through.  Place amigurumi eyes on head as
shown in diagram.  Stuff head before continuing.

Eye Placement:
Rnds 18-20.  Sc in ea sc around.

Rnd 21.  2 sc in 1st  sc, 1 sc in next sc, *2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next sc; rep from * around.  21 sc.

Rnd 22.  Sc in ea sc around.

Rnd 23.  2 sc in 1st sc, sc in next 2 sc, *2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc; rep from * around.  28 sc.

Rnds 24-29.  Sc in ea sc around.

Rnd 30.  Dec 1 sc in 1st 2 sc, sc in next 2 sc, *dec 1 sc in next 2 sc, sc in next 2 sc; rep from * around.  21 sc.

Rnd 31.  Sc in ea sc around.

EARS – make 2.
Worked in rows, from tip to base.

With MC, ch 2.

Row 1.  3 sc in 2nd ch from hook.  3 sc.

Row 2.  Ch 1; turn.  2 sc in 1st sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in last sc.  5 sc.

Row 3.  Ch 1; turn.  2 sc in 1st sc, sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in last sc.  Do not finish off; 7 sc.

Rotate ear clockwise and work 2 sc evenly up 1st side of ear, 3 sc in tip of ear, 2 sc down 2nd side of ear, and 9 sc
across bottom of ear.  Join with sl st to last sc of row 3; finish off.  Weave in all ends.

If desired, lie ears flat on felt to be used for lining.  Use ears as a template, and cut felt around the ears.  Glue lining
into place.


MUZZLE

With MC, ch 2.

Rnd 1.  6 sc in 2nd ch from hook.  6 sc.

Rnd 2.  2 sc in ea sc around.  12 sc.

Rnd 3.  Sc in ea sc around; join with sl st to 1st sc of rnd.  Finish off.  Weave in all ends.

Embroider nose onto center of muzzle with scrap yarn by first stitching a triangle outline, then filling it in with long,
vertical stitches.  End with one long, horizontal stitch across the top of the nose.


HOOK ARM
Worked from paw to shoulder.

With MC, ch 2.

Rnd 1.  6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, ch 3 (ch-3 sp forms thumb; keep ch-3 sp to outside of work).  6 sc and 1 ch-3 sp.

Rnd 2.  Sc in ea sc around, skip ch-3 sp.

Rnds 3-8.  Keeping ch-3 sp to outside of work, sc in ea sc around.

Rnd 9.  Sc in ea sc around; join with sl st to 1st sc in rnd.  Finish off.  Weave in all ends.


EMPTY ARM
Worked from paw to shoulder.

With MC, ch 2.

Rnd 1.  6 sc in 2nd ch from hook.  6 sc.

Rnds 2-8.  Sc in ea sc around.

Rnd 9.  Sc in ea sc around; join with sl st to 1st sc in rnd.  Finish off.  Weave in all ends.

ASSEMBLY

Sew pieces to head and body as shown in the diagram, taking care to stuff hind legs before attaching.  Sew top
corners of Crochet Kitten’s WIP to tips of arms.  Weave in all ends.  Place crochet hook in ch-3 loop thumb.
